What's being done to improve the state of Human Rights in Syria ?

im doing a project for civics on human rights violations and chose to write about the violations in Syria (taking away freedom of thought and speech, torturing and killing protestors, and preventing other parties from coming to power, to name a few) so i was wondering what exactly is being done to fix these problems by the UN, other governments, NGO's, etc.
